Supported by the Jharkhand Tribal Development Society, JTDP was a major 5-year integrated development initiative in Potka. It empowered Scheduled Tribes and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups by securing land, water, and sustainable agricultural livelihoods.
SHARE established grassroots institutions, including Village Development Committees and Self-Help Groups, ensuring that local tribal leaders spearheaded decision-making. We provided structured training in financial literacy, savings, and enterprise management, enabling community members to take charge of local development funds effectively.
The project funded vital irrigation infrastructure, seed banks, and soil conservation measures that boosted agricultural productivity. By linking households to government entitlements and sustainable farming methods, JTDP permanently elevated living standards across targeted tribal hamlets throughout the five-year project span.
