Funded by the Central Social Welfare Board, SHARE operated community crèches across Potka and Jamshedpur blocks. The program provided safe daycare, nutritional meals, health checkups, and early education for young children of working rural mothers.
Each crèche provided a safe, nurturing environment equipped with educational toys, learning materials, and trained caregivers. Children received daily nutritious hot meals, regular health check-ups, and early childhood education, significantly improving health and development metrics among rural toddlers in underserved areas.
By offering reliable, full-day childcare, the program empowered mothers—especially agricultural laborers and daily wage workers—to pursue gainful employment without compromising their children’s health or safety, resulting in increased overall household financial stability and well-being.
