Funded by ONGC under its CSR banner, SHARE carried out sanitation campaigns across East Singhbhum. The project eliminated open defecation and improved community health by constructing household latrines and conducting intensive sanitation education in rural hamlets.
Our construction teams built durable, fully functional latrines directly at beneficiary households, prioritizing families with elder members, women, and young children. This infrastructure provided privacy, safety, and dignity for rural women who previously faced significant daily hazards due to open defecation in open fields.
Complementing the construction efforts, SHARE organized village-wide hygiene awareness campaigns and sanitation workshops. These interactive sessions educated residents on proper handwashing, clean water storage, and maintenance practices, leading to a noticeable decline in preventable waterborne diseases across all target hamlets.
