Executed alongside NJSEI, JUIDCO, and the Asian Development Bank, this project evaluated urban infrastructure impacts on residents in Dhanbad. It ensured that local voices, displacement risks, and socio-economic needs were directly integrated into public development planning frameworks.
Our field workers conducted comprehensive socio-economic surveys across affected neighborhoods to measure baseline living standards, potential displacement risks, and community access to basic public utilities. This rigorous data collection ensured that public development strategies respected local community rights and incorporated fair compensation frameworks for all affected residents.
Through public consultations and structured focus group discussions, we captured essential community feedback regarding municipal infrastructure needs. The resulting assessment reports provided actionable recommendations for urban planners, ensuring that future development initiatives prioritize environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and community welfare across the municipality.
